Job Introduction

We are looking for a Clothing Designer to join our Graphics team based at our Liverpool Head Office.

In this role, you will be supporting our Clothing Buying team and producing on trend ranges, print and pattern, multi-product and working on existing and new development ideas.

Job Overview

• Work on textile clothing ranges under direction from the Category Manager and Design Studio Manager
• Create designs, technical packs, mood boards and engaging packaging from up-to-date market trends
• Communicate with manufacturers in a professional manner
• Review all pre-production submissions, referring to original comments made, ensuring all requested changes have been implemented and the finished quality of the product is of a high standard
• Ensure the smooth running of the approval process, and continually identify where improvements in process and communication can be made
• Build and maintain close links with the Buying and Graphics team, including photography
• Identify key commercial trends through competitive shops
• Conduct store visits and produce UK competitive shop reports
• Maintenance of confidentiality of information in compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including the development and maintenance of information management and record-keeping systems related to areas of responsibility

Minimum Criteria To Apply

• Excellent design CAD skills
• Robust understanding of garment construction is essential
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar design role or at a high street fashion retailer
• Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator on MAC OS
• Experience working in a team
• Robust understanding of print and manufacturing process and limitations
• Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Experience working on licensed ranges is advantageous
