  • 3 on 3 off.

Job Introduction

Are you ready to play a crucial role in maintaining cutting-edge automation technology? Based at our state-of-the-art Omega Distribution Centre, located at the Omega Business Park just off Junction 8 of the M62, we are looking for a Technical Cleaner to help optimise the performance of our warehouse automation systems. Reporting to the Technical Cleaning Team Manager, you will be responsible for delivering technical cleaning to the highest standards, ensuring our systems operate with minimal downtime.

In this role, you’ll complete scheduled and unplanned cleaning tasks, focusing on health and safety compliance, particularly when working at height or in restricted spaces. By replenishing cleaning stock and keeping accurate records, you’ll contribute to the seamless operation of our technical cleaning function.

As part of the wider technical cleaning team, you’ll collaborate with multiple departments across the site, including Warehouse Operations, Transport, and Maintenance. This role is vital in supporting the efficiency and functionality of our advanced automation systems.

Job Overview

• Technical Cleaning Tasks: Deliver scheduled and unplanned cleaning activities, ensuring automation systems operate with minimal downtime.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all safe systems of work policies and procedures, especially when working at height or in confined spaces.
• Stock Replenishment: Maintain cleaning stock levels to support efficient operations.
• Training and Development: Complete all required mandatory and refresher training to stay up-to-date with safety and technical standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other functions, including Warehouse Operations, Transport, and Maintenance, to ensure a seamless cleaning operation.
• Administrative Duties: Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with company procedures.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Address technical cleaning challenges efficiently, promoting a culture of operational excellence.
• Support Across Functions: Provide assistance to the wider technical cleaning function as required to meet business needs.

Minimum Criteria To Apply

• Experience in a fast-paced environment, such as warehousing or hospitality, is desirable.
• Strong ability to organise and prioritise workload.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to develop technical knowledge and skills.
• Awareness of safe working practices, including working at height and in confined spaces
