Job Introduction

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Goods In Administrator to join our warehouse team at our new distribution centre, located at Omega Business Park off Junction 8 of the M62. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all stock is accurately checked in and receipted against supplier purchase orders. You will verify that products match the quantities and specifications outlined in the orders, checking for any discrepancies or damage, and reporting issues promptly. Your work will ensure accurate inventory levels and prevent errors that could affect order fulfilment.

Additionally, you will support the overall Goods In operation by working closely with logistics, procurement, and stock control teams. You will assist in organising stock efficiently, ensuring items are stored correctly to optimise space and minimise errors. Strong communication skills are essential for resolving issues with suppliers and internal teams. This fast-paced role requires excellent time management and adaptability. During busy periods, as part of the role you will support the wider operation by taking on Warehouse Operative duties as required. 

Job Overview

  • Delivery Verification: Check supplier orders against receipted goods and ensure accuracy in the warehouse.
  • Data Input: Input stock data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and verify it matches purchase order details (quantity, price, pack size, date checks).
  • Record Keeping: Record supplier discrepancies accurately and collaborate with Stock Controllers to ensure compliance.
  • Manage Partnerships: Work with hauliers and suppliers to resolve queries regarding delivery times or order discrepancies.
  • Examine and Address: Investigate and resolve order and product discrepancies that cannot be receipted.
  • Data Tracking: Maintain records of supplier and product queries, such as no-shows or stock discrepancies.
  • Health & Safety: Follow Health and Safety processes and procedures, promoting safe working practices and ensuring compliance.

Minimum Criteria To Apply

  • Be experienced working with a warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Stock administration experience would be desirable.
  • Proficiency working with computer systems and record keeping.
  • Be an effective communicator and possess the ability to organise and prioritise workload.
