Job Introduction
We are looking for a Finance Data Analyst (Licensing) to join our busy Finance Team. This is a new yet key role that supports the success of our licensing partnerships through accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis. You'll work closely with teams across the business and directly with licensors, helping to ensure we meet our commercial objectives.
Job Overview
- Managing and improving core reporting processes such as Royalty and Forecast submissions
- Producing accurate financial reports and submissions for licensors
- Liaising with both internal teams and external licensors to ensure timely reporting
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce risk
- Working on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Proactively identifying and resolving reporting and forecasting issues
- Partnering with internal teams including Buying, Design, Finance, and Legal
- Providing financial and commercial analysis to support key business decisions
- Maintaining a high level of organisation and attention to detail in all work
- Ensuring all reporting processes align with licensor requirements and internal standards
Minimum Criteria To Apply
- Previous experience in a Finance department, ideally in a commercially focused role
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to identify and spot any data anomalies.
- A high level of attention to detail and a structured approach to reporting and forecasting
- An analytical mindset with a practical approach to problem solving
- Experience improving reporting systems and spreadsheet processes
- Ability to manage several projects at once and work independently to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external
- Self-starter, being able to work under own initiative.
- Positive, can do attitude with the ability to adapt to a changing commercial landscape.
- Experience working with licensors, finance teams, and commercial stakeholders – desired but not essential
- Good organisational habits, ensuring all reports and records are well maintained and audit-ready
- A strong understanding of commercial processes within licensing or a related industry.
