Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented Packaging Artworker to join our energetic Creative Studio Design team at Liverpool Head Office. 

You will be responsible for the designing of packaging artwork creation from start to finish for retail products across own label homewares, electricals and furniture.

Working closely with Creative Designers and Buyers you will ensure that product ranges are cohesive and packaging is of the highest standard allowing us to stand out in a highly competitive market. You will collaborate with other departments in the business, such as the photography studio and quality assurance team, on a day-to-day basis so excellent communication and organisational skills are key.

We are looking for someone who can work from style guides independently and has a keen eye for detail, with a strong understanding of print processes and typography. The candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of the Abode suite such as Illustrator and Photoshop (Mac based).

Job Overview

  • Developing artwork for various in house product ranges to ensure cohesion across the
     product and packaging.
  • Presenting artwork in an exciting and interesting manner.
  • Reviewing associated pre-production submissions, referring to original brief and comments, ensuring all requested changes have been implemented and the finished quality of the product is of a high standard.
  • Providing point of sale for stores.
  • Following Packaging guidelines and styleguides.
  • Working to critical path dates with buyers and design manager.

Minimum Criteria To Apply

  • Excellent artwork and design skills
  • At least 2 years’ experience of art working within packaging in the retail sector
  • Excellent knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Adobe Acrobat
  • Good typographic and design skills
  • Competent digital photography skills
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office including, Word Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience of working in a team
  • Understanding of print and manufacturing processes and limitations
